POSITION TITLE: Construction Manager
LOCATION: Marietta, PA (100% ON-SITE)
DURATION: 1 Year (with potential extension up to 3 years)
PAY RATE: $81.30/hr on W2 (no benefits)

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Construction Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day management of Construction and Demolition activities, including temporary and enabling works. This role provides construction expertise throughout the Detailed Design, Procurement, Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation phases of the project. The Construction Manager reports directly to the Project Manager and ensures all construction and demolition aspects of the project are fully integrated with safety, operability, maintainability, design, cost, and schedule requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and coordinate all construction and demolition activities associated with the project.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Construction and Demolition Plan to coordinate all activities.
- Provide management resources as needed throughout the construction and demolition phases to ensure coordination and milestone achievement.
- Address construction and demolition issues throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that all construction and demolition activities are completed on time to maintain smooth project progression from Execution to Handover.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements and industry standards related to construction.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure the plant or building can be safely constructed and maintained.
- Liaise with project, corporate, and site engineering teams on all construction and demolition aspects.
- Coordinate and participate in design reviews and assessments such as Constructability, Design for Safety, and Lean Construction.
- Oversee plant mechanical completion and IQ, ensuring timely completion with full documentation.
- Contribute to the selection of contract companies.
- Establish and maintain a safe system of work prior to any construction or demolition activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to Change Control procedures for field variations.
- Ensure adequate construction management resources are in place.
- Take overall responsibility for health, safety, and waste management during the construction phase.
- Develop and update a construction and demolition strategy, ensuring all team members and contractors are aligned and understand their responsibilities.
- Manage logistics and materials in line with lean construction methodologies to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Assist the Project Manager in the approval of construction and demolition invoices.
- Organize and chair regular meetings to ensure progress, safety, and quality meet project requirements.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and team on contractor performance, including progress, safety, workmanship, and potential issues.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognized construction management qualification.
